Name: Hu Yi Notomo Age: 25 Sex: Male Profession: Sailor/Smuggler Location: Baekda Affiliations: None Disposition: Visionary, goal oriented, over eager
Character Background and Description Hu Yi hails from the small island of Baekda located near the end of the ChunBang-ul island chain. He had grown up surrounded by fishermen and sailors and as a result was raised mostly on the sea. Despite their island being relatively far from the war and mostly unaffected by outside politics, Hu Yi was fascinated by the tales told by ship captains of the massive naval battles taking place. Wanting to see the world outside of Baekda, he saved up to buy his own ship and with a group of his friends set off to see the world. He had heard of the ship captains who chase after the Ikuchi sea serpent, scooping up it's oily secretions to sell to the various nations. Unsure why they would want such things but seeing a good way to make money while achieving their goals of seeing the world, Hu Yi and his friends set off to chase down Ikuchi, unknown of the dangers of such a job.
Hu Yi has always had a self-reliant spirit, seeking to make money off his own fish catches and scrounging rather than work on a shipping boat. He imagines himself one day owning a fleet of merchant ships and building his own fortune. However, Hu Yi may have large goals but often forgets to take into consideration how much work things require or how difficult they could be and as a result finds himself way in over his head. But with his three friends at his side and his own ship, he feels he is at the top of the world right now.
